Technical Requirements For Refrigerated Transport Equipment

Qualified refrigerated transport equipment must meet the following technical requirements:

1. High requirements for insulation structure. The metal framework of the vehicle or vessel body penetrates the insulation structure, creating thermal bridges that increase heat penetration. Generally, at least the equivalent of a 50mm thick cork insulation layer is required at the points where the metal framework penetrates the insulation layer to prevent surface condensation and reduce cold loss.

2. Good moisture-proof measures are essential. Due to the short loading and unloading cycles, the air inside the cargo compartment is easily affected by external air, causing both temperature and humidity to rise. This results in the water vapor partial pressure inside the refrigerated compartment being higher than that inside the insulation layer, causing water vapor to penetrate the insulation layer.

3. The refrigeration device should be adapted to the characteristics of the transport vehicle. Only air-cooled cooling can be used.

4. Due to large load variations, the design should consider the capacity margin of the refrigeration unit.

5. Transportable refrigeration units have higher requirements in terms of weight, volume, safety, and automation than land-based refrigeration units.
