1. An emergency control device for cutting off the power supply to the refrigeration system should be installed at a convenient location outside the door of the ammonia refrigeration machine room, and warning signs should be provided. Each refrigeration compressor unit's start control cabinet (box) and control console should have an emergency stop button.

 

2. The refrigeration machine room should be equipped with an emergency ventilation system. The emergency ventilation system in the ammonia refrigeration machine room should be explosion-proof. When the refrigeration system malfunctions and the power supply is cut off, the emergency ventilation system should be guaranteed to have a reliable power supply.

 

3. Emergency lighting should be installed in the ammonia refrigeration machine room and high/low voltage distribution rooms. The lighting fixtures should be explosion-proof, and the lighting duration should not be less than 30 minutes.

 

4. The ammonia refrigeration machine room should be equipped with an ammonia concentration detection and alarm device and a water supply system.

 

5. Water-cooled refrigeration compressors should have a water failure protection device.

 

6. Machine room doors should open outwards, and the number of doors should ensure that personnel can quickly exit in an emergency.

 

7. Refrigeration auxiliary equipment located outdoors should be equipped with protective railings and warning signs. When high-pressure liquid receivers are located outdoors, they should be protected from direct sunlight.

 

8. Moisture-proof lighting fixtures and switches should be used inside the warehouse.

 

9. When the installation height of lighting fixtures inside the warehouse is less than or equal to 2.2m, safety voltage power supply should be used. The metal casings of all lighting fixtures should be connected to a protective ground wire.

 

10. Power and lighting circuits in warehouses below 0 degrees Celsius should use low-temperature resistant insulated cables suitable for the warehouse temperature.

 

11. Electrical circuits passing through the thermal insulation layer of the warehouse should have reliable fire protection measures.

 

12. Cold storage design should comply with relevant fire safety regulations.
